Center Club is the oldest and largest clubhouse in New England for people with psychiatric disabilities.
Since 1959 we have been dedicated to the principles of self-help, peer support and empowerment.

DRA is an independent Twelve Step self-help membership organization for people with a dual diagnosis

SOCIALIZATION
Center Club schedules a wide array of social, recreational and cultural activities, which occur in -house or in the community after the work ordered day. These include a weekly activities and special holiday meals and many other activities offered in the greater Boston area. The club also holds memberships at various local museums which members are able to use free of charge
Club members attend on a voluntary basis, participating in Club management, policy development and the day-to-day operation of the program.

Club members have the opportunity of working with staff members in
HOUSING
The Employment and Housing Unit is committed to working with members on obtaining and maintaining safe, decent, and affordable housing, with support services provided by members and staff members in the unit. We do this in a variety of ways: Filling out housing applications, appealing housing denials, and going to housing appointments with members Providing listings of low cost moving companies in the area who can assist members Providing resource lists of where members can get assistance with security deposits, first and last months rent, and utility bills.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
We support club members in maintaining their physical health. Center Club members may use the Erich Lindemann Mental Health Center gymnasium free of charge. We hold a weekly Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA) meeting for members who struggle with substance use and mental illness, along with discussions and presentations on a variety of health and wellness topics.
ABOUT
The five-day-a-week program combines employment, housing and education services with social activities, wellness initiatives, and advocacy using a holistic approach that is highly empowering.
